Put about 2500 miles since picking her up in Orlando and back to NYC.
The car is Flint Gray but look blue in every picture I have taken.
This weekend I am doing the 60k service myself but will take it in for the transmission fluid service.

I love the M5 forum and so far this forum has been a wealth of information for me to snack on. I was on (amgforums.org no one will replay to anything on there)

BTW I did that ECU reset this morning key on gas to floor for 5 sec and key off but still in the switch... WOW....

I am looking for the pass side headrest button dealer will only sell the complete switch...so I am on ebay looking....

Would like to Wax it before winter...let me know what you guys are using both inside and out.

Beautiful car. The ride up from Orlando must have been a blast, although maybe a bit long. No tickets I trust.

No Tickets...stop and visit friend along the way back
I did however had to get 2 new front tires.. The inside were down to wires. The outer was like new. I have 2 new tires on and everything seem good again. But I am told its a common problem for the inside to wear off.I drive the car in the lower ride height position and shock on number 1 setting.

Car is 100% stock (that I know ) and I installed the AMG flat badge I bought from a member.

I bought my SL from a guy in Ohio. On the way home, I was cruising along I74 at about 60 and decided it was time for a little WOT. I was shocked at how fast she went from 60 to about 110. About five minutes later, Indiana's finest is up my ***. He asked me if I knew how fast I was going. I was afraid to tell him I did. After carefully checking out all of my paperwork, he told me to slow it down and left. I never did know where he came from. I'm guessing he had no way of establishing my speed or he would have nailed me. A friend of mine thinks they saw me on a freeway cam.

You have yourself a nice color. It must have been a cool ride from FL in the MB, I did the same trip earlier this year in a Escalade, you have to be carefull not to go too fast (or least not get caught).

Welcome to the AMG family.

Congrats!

Did you notice the wheels are different from the OEM one came with the AMG?

In fact, I would rather to have this instead of the OEM one, but with the exception of Performance pack wheels...

Very nice car.

I'm a recent BMW to MB switcher too. So far, no complaints. I think that generally, the BMW cars I've owned have handled a bit tighter, but the fit, finish and luxury on the MB blows the BMW product away.

BTW, I guess you must be proof that the ECU reset works on the e63 cars? For some reason, i thought i read in the "Sneaky ECU" thread that it didnt work for e63 cars. Hmmmmm.....

I've gone back and forth between some of the German brands. My wife went from an R230 SL500 to a 650 vert and prefers the 650. It's all subjective, but I prefer the BMW interiors to MB.

I wish Audi and BMW brought their uber-wagons to the US. It would give us wagon nerds more choices

If they had been imported, I'd be rockin' an RS6 Avant right now instead of the E55.
