I paid 90 dollars just for 9 qts of mobil 1 0-40 just for an oil change,I mean if someone stole all the oil you could get all that done for 200 I guess
the tranny alone takes 12 liters of mb special oil

Its going in monday to have it done.I was on the highway last night and was on second at arond 60% and hit the shifter for 3rd and the car shifted to 3rd 3x harder than my friends m6 shifts.
It was scarry, legit it felt like the car hopped when it hit 3rd gear, its the first time its ever done anything like that and it shifts fine but just want to change the oil since its coming up to 60k soon.

I think I paid like $250 for my tranny service, but it was lumped on to my $500 Service B...I might have paid less because of that...When we went to the track a few months later I had the only 7G that didn't get hot and kick me out of M mode...I have no idea if it was because of this or not, but that's what happened...

RE: Tranny Service Quote
I paid a smidgen under $300 for my indie to do my E63 last Summer + about $110 for "A Service" oil/filter change and pano roof lube. Tranny price included MB fluid, MB filter, MB pan gasket, and labor. Made a big difference in shift smoothness, I'd get it done if I were you.
Getting my SL tranny done week after next; he quoted me the same as for the E63 but it also includes replacing the electrical connector seal....I believe that part adds all of $11.

I paid $400 for engine, tranny & rear diff and as far as noticing a difference...on my next visit to the track my car made 4 passes in this order 11.834, 11.761, 11.701, 11.726 pretty much hot lapped with about a 15min break in between the 2nd & 3rd run so I would say my car was feeling pretty good after that service. I have 19k miles on my car and my engine oil gets changed twice a year and the tranny every three years. I've only done the rear diff one time.

I was told my some random Indy mechanic that our transmissions cannot be serviced b/c they are closed systems and that anyone offering to service my tranny is scamming me.
Now, I'm def noticing my shift are getting more harsh and want to do something about it. I've owned the car for approx. 50k miles and never "serviced" the tranny. Recommendations on what I need to get done?

That's why he's random and Indy - he doesn't know what he's talking about. Our transmission absolutely can be serviced - which normally consists of draining, dropping the pan, replacing the filter and seals, and refilling at the proper fluid temperature (measured most accurately via Star, but a temp gun can be shot at the pan, too). Service at 60K is very sound preventative maintenance. Had mine done late last year.
