Shorty Headers and Tune before Pulley and cooling?
Hey guys, I was actually considering getting shorty headers and a tune before i got a 180mm pulley, H/E,CM30, and tune. What are your inputs. Will I gain more with headers and tune with less heat too?

Most shorty headers will have the ability to retain stock cats.
We are trying to gather people for a bay area tuning day with OE Tuning. Jeremy had done a terrific job with varying levels on our platform, plus this will also give you an opportunity to see what a stage II puts down.
My friend with a stage II ran a 11.373 @ 124 which included VRP shorty headers, 180 pulley, Code 3 HE, and OE Tuning custom tune.

Also, will Kleeman Shortys retain primanies?
Should I go pulley, H/E, pump, Tune or Headers and tune? Thanks Bassn

Evosport Shorties FTW
The best shorty headers on a performance/price basis that retain the factory cats are the Evosports. Renntechs are good as well, but fail on the "price" aspect. With the Kleemans, you have to eliminate the primary cats and do some welding. All depends on how radical you want to go.

You can always add primary race cats added at the end of the LT's. Don't be fooled into thinking that with LT's you have to loose them for ever. Have test pipe made so you can swap out cats for straight pipe. I'm in the process of getting some issues worked out with my LT's. I will have race cats added to them very soon.
