Can you guys just help him? I looked through his manual and saw nothing about checking the oil level.

I know that you can see that screen if you are setting up the car to be in dyno mode. turn the key two clicks and put the command on the temp setting then turn back one click then quickly press the reset button 3 times and I believe you'll see something like UV11.8 then scroll through some of the screens until you see check oil level. This may not work on the E63 as it does on the E55 but if you can get it into dyno mode the screen can or should be found the same way.

Ok. Turn the key to position two (but do not start the car). Or, press the start/stop button twice without depressing the brake pad to start the car. After the COMAND unit has powered up, press the down arrow key on the steering wheel once. It will go to the check oil screen. It is best to do this when the vehicle is cold, as it will get the reading much quicker. Also, make sure the vehicle is on a level service.

Oops. Just noticed you mentioned your vehicle was on 09 E63. Not sure if this will apply... This is for my 06 E55...

You really need to not "throw" the computer...tends to break them. I checked my oil after I threw the computer and bad things happened.
