650+hp in the snow! AMG says noooooo problem!!!
You guys have been really convincing me to just drive the car and enjoy it so my first year driving in snow started tonight. Had to drive about 20 miles in a pretty nasty snow storm....this is the storm that shut down our drag event in Famoso.
Was scared to death but I gotta tell ya, after the first 10 mins I was in love with this car all over again. Tracked straight and true and with the Dunlop snows, it was just an amazing experience. Not a single plow on the road all the way home and about 3-4 inches of slush in spots. No problem, right on through she chopped!
Bout the only part she really struggled was in my neighborhood. A good 4 inches on the ground with no tires marks for guides and she struggled a tick and started to plow a touch.
What a car!! Certainly it's no AWD Audi or Jeep but for a near 700hp (600hp up here) supercar 4 door, I am so friggin proud of this car.

I'm glad it went well for you. I'll drive mine if I have to (with Blizzaks), but don't find it as stable as you do.
I switch to the 996 in the winter.

You are absolutely crazy to drive in snow... Back in motherland (Russia) rwd having tons of problems during winter, especially during climbing some hill, I would never ever do that. Not worth it imho

Wow, good to hear. I've lived in Canada also and the winters are very much alike with the Boston snow. I have dunlop snows on my 18s now and its verryy hard not to burn through them until the snow hits

Lovin the E55 in these SLC "blizzards".... how'd you like the STORM OF THE CENTURY last night? ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
Hopefully it snows a ton over the next few days, I was extremely underwhelmed.
