E55 Supercharger wobble?
Guys
I was hoping some of you could weigh in on a potential issue I have with my 2005 E55.
I think I have over read some posts on the forum about pulley and bearing failure and it has me paranoid.
I was servicing the car yesterday and started to check the belts when I noticed a wobble on the supercharger pulley bolt.
Is this a sign of the bearing failing
the pulley seems normal and I dont have any play on the bearing (that I can tell)
The engine has a rough idle as well right now ( not sure if this is just a coincidence)
here is a small clip I posted
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMtnY7EEnnc
any help on a diagnosis would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

The only true why to tell, is to remove the belt and manually manipulate to pulley by hand. Then you will definitely know if the bearings are bad or not. because you will have movement in the pulley. https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...oise-pics.html

I'm going to take it in tomorrow and have it checked out.
I hope it's just a the bearing, which I will attemp myself. There are tons of great DIY treads to guide me through it.
fingers crossed
Thanks for the replys

Another thing I am going to have to check once I get my car running again! mine's an 05 too. I did not expect to have to do this much in repairs on an 05. Thanks for bring this to my attention!

Oh boy, something is not right, there. If you do need a bearing and is it not under warranty, I have new bearings listed in the classified. Either way you go, get it fixed stat.
