It's hard because Its gonna rain for the next week I probably won't even drive till it clears up. When Im WOT it has a loud SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH sound along with V8 in the background, I guess its the resonance working but I definatly like this classy sound.

Hey guys I figured out why my car is pretty quiet. I have two xpipes on my car. I have an Xpipe and an xpipe magnaflow muffler in the middle. Should I remove the xpipe where the secondaries were because I already have an xpipe in the middle. Will this make a difference in sound? I also plan on switching to full 3inch piping later because I think I am losing power with my smaller diameter piping.

I think these garage videos of exhaust are a joke! (not just you john) I'm sure it sounds better than stock, but i cant tell a difference from one video to the next. With all this money you are spending on altering your exhaust you should have just bought headers..

I know I should have bought headers but I only spent like 500 on exhaust. Headers are 1500 plus 700 install. I gotta save up for that.

There was a few people on the bmw 6 series forum (including myself) who ran the magnaflow mufflers, xpipe, full catback, resonator, 2nd cat deletes... AND
sounded great, yes... BUT lost hp on the dyno... 5-7hp if I remember correctly...
I wonder how well the magnaflows work on the 5.4L SC motors...

I'm having the same inner argument...and really leaning towards headers. I was just quoted $550 for parts/labor for custom X-pipe, res & cat delete...
I think I'm going to hold out and just do the headers. Besides, headers will be a great pre-tune & pulley platform if I ever decide to do that.

I had longtubes installed and a custom x pipe built from scratch for $520 out the door. I returned your pm brutha.

I know. But I have headers now and when she was on the dyno, my car ripped! It sounded good. You tube videos can't justify the sound really.

Finally got a flyby clip of my E55 with Magnaflow exhaust. Here it is before I get my Wisemann exhaust installed.
