Post My Drag results

so here are my results, i think my car needs a better driver.

First: traction problem
second: modded 911 were getting 11.7 & 11.5, they were spining although the have slick tires on all the 4 of them and it is 700hp +
C63: exhuast & tune was getting 13.5 , M5 tuned + exhuast best time 12.27 with slicks

so i am satisfied with my result for a first time with bad track floor, i just can feel it grips when i pass by the 60ft. but before it i sure saw normal streets are better.

any way. here is my time slip, i am No. 159 and the one with me was a EvoX with 400hp Double clutch.

Im a noob, but right off the top:

Your 60' was 2.13, and that is a clear indication of traction issues. (As much as people hate when this is said):

If your 60' was in line with what is possible.. a 1.6 would have netted you a time of: 11.47

That is based on a standard mathimatical deduction. In reallity, a quicker 60 foot will yeild more up top, so I imagine you could see low 11.3 or better GREAT JOB!!

Did you have fun????

Whatever we're tuning!
It's nice to see you hitting the drag strip instead of your usual high speed street runs Ali!

BTW Your intake parts are on the way to your NY address and that should bring your times down even more!

NICE JOB Brotha!

Great job Ali!! I was wondering when you would get it on the drag strip!

Did the conversion and you hit the traps (ending lights) at 117.3 mph.

Not too shabby!

there was another one when i reached 196.63 km @@

but the time was slower.

i am really suffering from the traction. but imagine 2010 911 with slick tires is suffering as well because of spinning @@. inever thought i would see a 911 spining from dig with PDK.

really bad floor. even the new GTR was slipping.

comapred to others i was good.

but i think i need to practice.

i sure did. it feels nice to be better than ferrari 458 Italia, CTS-V, lol

i tried 4 times back to back and my time was close 12.1XX.

i noticed for every .1 in the 60 ft i saw a gain of 0.3 at the end of the 1/4 mile.

i think next month with i set of a slicky tires and new tune + setup i will try to get in the 11.5.

for the first time i feel that too much TQ is not good lo0ol

but it is sure enoyment.

I am not sure about using Nitto in a slippy ground. I have heard that they are bad in wet surfaces.

Why don't you try your normal street tires?

Hi Ali, have no doubt that with the set up you're running, and with some more runs, you'll be hitting sub 11s no problem.

It will be your ride that will represent the first 10s ride here in the UAE, keep hitting that strip

Where is the drag strip, becasue I certainly would like to come down at the next meet

I believe you will do much better next time because you have clear idea on how the ground feels like.

Just practice for a while on lunching the car and it will be fine next time.

the Nitto INvo's are great for warm weather and the track . I would not worry .

in cold weather they have issues until they heat up.

I have the invos now,but have maxed there grip for the street!!! they also get really hard in the cold and have zero traction in the winter months.

I am going with the nt05s next.Discount tires direct has them for like 205 each with free shipping in the 275/35/18 size

true . I forgot to mention when i use them at the track the PSI is @ 16-18 and they get heated up well . Will check them out . I need new rears again .

i take it you deal with that annoying vibration too until they warm up ???

Drove me crazy trying to figure it out

I thought I was going crazzy!!! I balanced them 4 times untill it hit me that in the warm they don't vibrate and only when its cold they do it.

Im going with the nt05s next and ill let you know how they compare to the invos

Get yourself a set of 16''s CCW's or Clk wheels with somE DR's and that 2.0 60' will eventually become 1.60's

Nice runs!

Check out the drag racing sticky if you haven't yet. There is some good stuff on the launch which is key for all of you high HP Es. I always put my car in the softest suspension mode and raise the suspension to the highest level basically trying to shift weight to the rear wheels as much as possible.
