What's your experience on dealers reflashing ECU's?

I posted this on another forum but moved it to the 211 AMG because of the experience of the board members with ECU tuning. I am planning on getting a ECU tune and I was wondering how often or why a deal would reflash an ECU back to stock? Do they do it every time it goes in for service or would it happen if they are looking for a specific problem? Should I expect it for an A or B service?

Thanks for your input.

I went in for a transmission oil change and told the dealer not to program or flash the ecu because it has a tune on it.

I also put a note on the steering wheel saying the car was tuned not to flash.before you know it 3 techs and 2 sales guys were all talking to me and asking about my car.one of them said they saw me at the track and was impressed.

THE ONLY REASON THEY SHOULD FLASH YOUR ECU IS THAT IF YOU HAVE A DRIVEABILITY CONCERN,THEY ARE UPDATING IT TO MATCH A TRANS. UPDATE/VALVEBODY REPLACEMENT, RECALL,OR IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE AND YOU ASK THEM TO UPDATE IT.WHICH DEALER?IF THEY ARE UPDATING IT OUT OF THE BLUE THEY'RE LOOKIING FOR WORK.TALK W/ JEREMY AT OE TUNING,HE'LL HOOK YOU UP FOR A TUNE/REFLASH OR CONTACT ME, I'M IN THE NORTH BAY AS WELL.
