OP, as I posted in your other thread, searching the forum before posting is always a good idea. I'm not trying to backseat Mod...just a bit of advice to prevent you from having to read the types of responses you're sure to get if you continue to post threads on topics that have been discussed repeatedly.

I don't see a problem with it. I don't have one because I live in L.A and parking spaces here are pretty big, but my car is used and it's one of the few E55s that doesn't have Park Sensors. If parking was actually a problem I'd definitely invest a couple hundred in a backup camera instead of (I assume) several thousand to get park sensors installed in the bumper and the little green---red readout on my dash.

Depends on what you go for option wise.
I did everything (HD/Sat radio, Media Interface, MBRace upgrade, Linguatronic, backup camera) and am right at $5K before I sell off the old components. You could do it for around $3500 for just the head unit, conversion harness and both amps depending on where you source the parts

E55 w/ goods, Z32 Project underway
I have added ******* to my Acura and SC430 a while back and even created DYI threads on those forums. Great product with no issues. The key is using a quality camera that looks or is OEM and not some funky bumper or license plate camera.
It is an awesome mod for not just the possible small kid, but also hydrants, curbs, etc that might be behind you in certain conditions. Life is never predictable.

It's pricey but get them on a group buy and your golden.
The other and perhaps better option is an aftermarket head unit which will give you the input along with a real head unit to begin with like hard drive, bluetooth, navigation, weather, etc. That's the route I'm leaning to.

Also, thanks for the person that started this thread. I forgot that I wanted to get a rear camera for my wagon and this thread reminded me. Thanks.
