Sure would, single over cam 4.6L motors are DOGS! Even if they are blown they make around 500hp. They sound nice but not fast, they are also very heavy.

It would be a close race against an E55/E63, especially close if the cobra had a pulley swap and basic mods. The one in the video looks pretty quick.

From the video, it doesn't seem like he's in it all the way (i.e. not WOT). Also, it appears as soon as he is a good bit in the throttle, maybe 1/2 throttle, all he's doing is spinning.

I'd venture a guess and say that car is running more than 500BHP.

I owned a Terminator, that car is JUNK, it has no cam lope and its all exhaust and you cant hear a turbo spool or whine. If you think its fast then its your call. Sounded amazing. Would only run it as he seems to be getting zero traction at part throttle. Watching cars that easily run 9-10s act like they are on ice on the street is priceless. They get super pissed and demand a 40 or 60 roll.

It is not my car, and NOT a SOHC motor. It is a pushrod motor (94/95 year cobra), see the snake on the fender. The begining of the vid shows the whine of the centrifugal blower too. Who cares if you owned a terminator, your comments just dont make sense. How can a car that weighs around 3400lbs be a tank making 480rwhp? We all know that the pushrod ford motors make huge power with blower setups. A car with that HP/weight ratio would rape any and all E63's from a dig, roll you name it, no if ands or butts.

Going back to the 2v or SOHC GT motors, given they weigh even lighter than the 4v, built, ALSO make over 600whp with a blower setup on pump. I was not posting the vid to give praise, but when silly comments are made, a correction is in order for an AMG brother.

The Termi 4V is Cast Iron so yes the 2V will be lighter. Because power without plant means nothing! Which is why Terminator guys give up the IRS for live rear ends. In my day of researching Cobras I have yet to see a SOHC make 600hp on stock block internals and a blower (No nitrous). I actually have only seen a stock block 302 with stock internals push around 480 with a blower, and not 600hp. At 500 they have a problem with the lifters spliting. Having read my fair share of Fast Ford Magazine I dont recall an article with a stock 302 and a blower making 600hp. (Thats not to say its not possible.) I have seen a fox body drop a DOHC 4.6 and run very low 10s which for the cost of that motor versus the build out of a 302, and the potential of the DOHC 4.6 its not worth building out a 302. I have also seen Whippled 4.6 DOHC on E85 make over 700hp. A 03-04 Cobra also has a snake on the fender,there are also GT Mustangs with Cobra bumpers and badges. The snake is a $5 ebay sticker. I dont trust american car guys lots of talk especially Mustang guys they say their car has this and that and when it gets time to line up its got nothing, but a nice exhaust and CAI.

In the end, I have stroked out an LS2 with no cats and custom cam as well as built a Whipple 03 Termi (Full Bassani Exhaust). The sound of a car doesnt mean its fast, its very easy to make American cars loud. A tuned SL65 and CL65 is super quite and will probably make carnitas out of that Mustang on the street. I appreciate you calling me an AMG brother but I know my fair share about American cars, thats what I am getting at. Cause a car is loud doesnt mean I wouldnt race them or its fast. The AMG traction control and shifting will probably weigh in favor of the E63 or E55 in a street race. That being said on a track with the Mustang running slicks advantage Mustang as long as the driver can shift.

In the end if I lose, I lost in my fancy AMG sedan to a Mustang. If I win the Mustang lost to a 4 door grocery getter.

thats the one he was gonna bring to MIR last sat . you gotta check it out with the new turbo !!!!!! that car used to be set up for road racing but still ran a low 11 with the blower , Now with the turbo it should crack a 10 No problem . and it puts down around 585 to the wheels, And its a 331 stroker

I have no idea about mustangs, I was just providing what a 500+ rwhp mustang looks like just a pulley and tune e55.

That thing is very nice and has everything but a bottom end.

No they are nice, but the price difference between a Mach1 and a 03-04 Cobra is about 5k or 6k, but on a Cobra you get Cast Iron block and forged internals and Roots blower standard, which allows for more potential boost than a Mach1 4V Alloy block can handle which is why I went the Cobra route.
