Alternator
The Good:
Alternator pros had it in stock, free overnight via FedEx, Lifetime warranty, and No Core Charge. http://alternatorpros.com/Alternators.htm
$289. If you return the old one they'll refund your payment method $20. They pay shipping both ways.
The Bad: I had to rotate the back half 90 Degrees. (4 screws) The regulator would not plug in until I ground off the tabs on the inside of the regulator itself. (5 mins. with Dremel) Total extra time spent about one hour. (Most of it was spent trying to install, then finding the problems and starting over.)
My local alternator repair shop offered me a $400 New Oem Bosch and a week to get it.Flat rate time on the job is 2.8 hrs, but only if you have done it before and know what needs to be removed and where to pull it out, took me a bit longer.
PM me if you have and questions.
