I upgraded from just the headers to the, "Full Monty" for $2,500.00 so I can't wait as well! Hell he can take a year as long as he lovingly hand crafts each component, talking softly to it as he welds.
OK wait....sorry...that came out wrong....![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Thanks Chris!

I would prefer mine be crafted while he's blasting "World Painted Blood" by Slayer...on repeat...so that when they're born, they're just plain evil.

Quick question for you all. As I'm getting the full system but keeping my stock mufflers how much louder with the beast now be? To be honest I reallly don't want it any louder but figured it will be a bit?
Again I'm keeping my mufflers completely stock, so sound wise on a scale of 1-10, 10 being crazy loud and stock being 2, how much louder will this system be? (3 hopefully?)
Thanks and yes I know this is an odd question.

Its probably gonna be a 3-4 when cruising and an 8 under throttle. I'm just guessing. But based on all the reading I've done on here, that should be fairly accurate.

I was gonna get in on this group buy. Glad I didn't, a set of EC long tubes came up for sale at an irresistible price. I'd be on pins and needles waiting for these headers to be made. You guys have no idea what's in store for you.
As far as sound, I have 3" exhaust from my headers back to the resonator. No cats, stock mufflers. Slightly louder at idle, but I guarantee you get some attention at WOT. No drone whatsoever.
Good luck guys!

I'm also in CA and was wondering how CA guys get around the emissions thing, besides the obvious (paying someone to pass you). I was gonna go with shorty headers but hear that they give minimal performance benefits.

Pefect thanks guys. I don't mind it being slightly louder at idle or cruising and when I'm, "Droppin' the hammer," louder is fine! ![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Can't wait!

It really isn't that noticeable. Just a little deeper rumble idling and around town, and a little more aggressive when accelerating briskly.

I had a nightmare experience trying to get my old Jeep to pass emissions here in GA. It was a beast - 4.2L bored .30 over. Head & block decked .060 Head ported, polished, and blueprinted to match. Flat Top Keith Black pistons. Pace Setter Headers and Flow Master exhaust, comp cam, Holly 500 carb., griffin aluminum radiator...We'd put in new cats to get it to pass emissions but never ever could get it dialed in to do so.
Being able to light up the 36"s in 4WD was a hoot.
I ended up just selling it so a guy up in NC that lived on a farm.
I don't want to do that with my 55...I'll settle with slightly less power and fewer headaches with the shorties and stock emission system.
I know with work you guys will be able to get your 55's dialed in though - other members are proof to that.
My '65 Skylark GS convertible 445 will be my "dirty" vehicle (don't have to worry about any emissions on that).

What HP/TQ did you make on your current setup? I will be going with something very similar to yours except I will swap the 180MM for a TTM T/B kit.
