i have a 05 e55 with 80k , just happened last night, every time supercharger engages, it squeaks loud and no power, what could it be ? superchager gone bad or clutch pully ??

check the belt and also see if the sc bearing/clutch spins with ease with the car off.You might need a new s/c clutch/bearing and a belt.

open the hood and report back

I'll be honest, no power and belt squeal sounds like the SC got locked up.

Thanks everybody for the input, I thought the supercharger was done, but the problem was the water pump bracket that the tensioner mounts on to broke, dealer wanted $700 for that bracket, couldn't wait for the down time, so I just welded n add an extra bracket.

i got a 2003 e55 amg i got the churp it dosent bother me,
today the superchager cut out (happens sometimes) but this time it felt like something was really wrong when i tryed acc it gave like a putting noise, after the supercharger came back on power was back but i could feel big time cutting out (during hard acceleration) n little putts everytime i felt the power cut.
i think something is very wrong....

i cheked the pully u mentioned to the other guy its located behind the superchager belt, and it does turn with easy while engine is off!
please help!

bad bearing for sure. Same exact thing happened to me about 2 months ago. Let me know if you need the bearing because i bought 5 and still have 2 left over that i'm selling.

That's your heat exchanger pump that's faulty. Search will yiled all you need!

is that what its called if i go to Mercedes? heat exchanger pump? is it something i can install myself?

is it located inside the sc?

People, he already posted what was wrong with the car. No need in telling him something else is bad. Read through the thread.

Others have had that water pump bracket issue also. I think I will also explore beefing it up as well, even if I have to weld something.

hey i just installed my new mb ic pump cuz i thought that was my problem!
my car accelerates fine up to any speed i want as long as i acc slow, sc working fine...
soon as i hit the gas hard i can feel lots of power loss then the sc cuts out and the car start puttin and im scared to drive it!!
is the a fuse or sensor for the ic pump or could my problem be some type of sensor?
any ideas???
