I like the original set better as well but LOVE the color on these. . .it's a moot point anyways. . .a new set. . .with a new color. . .with a new car. . .should be here in 3. . .2. . .1. . .
I just about teared up. Seeing those pictures gave me the same feeling I get when I read about a truly nice deed somebody does for someone else. I dont know why. I guess I just feel blessed to get to see something of such beauty.
Speaking of tips, I was going to get them powdercoated black, any thoughts from anyone?
I like the idea, Marcus. Personally, I hate having a super clean looking car, then having even a slight carbon buildup on the tips. Powder coating them, eliminates that issue. I say do it, but powder coat them the same color as your wheels and badges. Make it all the same.

Clayton, the wheels are graphite and the emblems and trim is gloss black. So you think the tips should be gloss black, flat black, satin black or graphite?
I was thinking a satin black like the pic. of the E55 tips above.

The tips would look hott Matte black. Let me know If you want them done. My powdercoater (not wheelmedic) will do them for like 20/$30 bucks. And he is good. I have to bring soe stuff there this week and pick up a set of wheels so let me know.

If that's the case, I would do the tips in satin/matte black.
Be cool if you did the wheels/emblems/tips all in graphite though. Don't think anyone has done that yet.
I have the carbon fiber insert on the back already, not in to the bulky diffuser though.
