Total lock out
Hi folks has anyone had their car battery go dead flat so you cannot enter the car via the remote, then to find the key blade will not turn the lock? Any ideas to get in (without damaging the car)

I had the samething happen. I was able to use a coat hanger to grab the door pin( surprisingly easy on my CLS) and get in. Getting into the trunk to boost it proved to be another problem. I tried to feed the car power to no avail from the engine bay. I finally caved and had roadside come visit. There was a relay that he pulled from the engine fuse panel and fed the center lead some 12v power. This fed power to the circuit and allow me to pop the trunk.

ooh, that is a good question. I was thinking the key blade when reading your thread, but you've already mentioned this. Have you called Mercedes or Roadside Service for a work around? Because, I don't know what to tell you at this point. Have to tried unlocking the trunk with the keyblade, then releasing the seat backs and climbing through? It's worth a shoot, that way, you could pop the hood, I can't remember if the E55 battery is in the trunk like my E63 or under the hood? So go try it and let me know what happens?
