Has a cm30 ever frozen?

Im in Buffalo, NY. Right now its ~20 degrees, maybe colder. The car has more power at 25% throttle, than it does at 75% throttle right now. Strange thing is, is that I hear the blower whining away - it just doesnt go anywhere. Everything is so delayed that the traction light doesnt even come on - and theres an inch of snow on the streets.

So has my cm30 gone bad? Frozen?

Normal driving is fine, idle is fine, no CELs. I checked the intakes, nothing is clogged.

Anyone ever experince this? Have any ideas?

coolant

it jerks when I get off the throttle, and on the highway, if I floor it, it downshifted, revs shot up, but I essentially didnt gain any speed.

Ill be calling the dealer tomorrow, but if you guys have any ideas, Im all ears. There is a distinct burning rubber smell too, when I get out - but the belts looked good.

Maybe its the supercharger clutch? I really am stuck on this one

Dirt Scooters
could be the supercharger clutch bearing. Kinda sounds like the same thing that happened to me.

you can check boost and iats via the scanner. just go to live data and it will show up, you may have to convert it into psi but that is easy to do.

Awol I have never had a problem in the cold , always seems to run strong, actually I think it runs even stronger in the cold. By the way. I just saw you on Delaware here in snowy Buffalo car looks great, yes even the blue wheels!

The dealer is reporting back with a slight misfire, causing it to turn off the blower. There are no codes, and the idle is fine.

They recommend doing plugs and wires, then if that doesnt fix it, they will try coil packs, which would be under warranty.

Ill do the plugs myself.

Does this seem like a logical explanation?

well, sorry for the triple post, but for some reason its fixed. I dont know what they did, they released it to me thinking it was still having issues, but for right now, its back to normal.

Maybe a plug wire popped off or something, or was lose, and during reassembly they fixed it.

It does seem logical. A loose wire will definitely cause a high speed miss. Hopefully the problem is solved. Keep us posted.
