Sounds good from what I can tell. I will wait for some more clips lol. Do you know f the tips come welded to the mufflers or if we have to weld them ourselves and how long it takes from when we place the order until it's shipped?

you will have to weld the tips on. i think ec can get them to you pretty quick. i will take some videos this weekend and post them up. it sounds a lot louder than in the video.

Looking forward to hearing the vids. So when you say you have to weld the tips on, does that mean you have to bend/buy the pipes to get the tips to sit at the right angle too?

Mufflers and tips are looking to go for $450. You would need to have your shop of choice do the rest of the labor that Shardul alluded to in the first post.

haha pretty much. I've literally put less than 3000 miles on the E55 in the past 6 months. Switched to field engineering in July last year and now I'm in the field hitting rigs 2 days a week all over south texas. I put ~5000miles a month on the company truck and only drive the E55 on the weekend. Things are going well though. Last year was a great year for me career wise, so while I'm slammed with work I'm enjoying it and can't complain. Combine that with kart tuning/driver coaching and I'm never home. Haha Fly out to Orlando for race today. I'm hoping to make either cars and coffee or an urban speed event in February. My goal for 2011 is to get headers, TB grind, some smaller mods and of course some maintenance stuff done on the beast. Oh and get that latest 'Jerry' tune. Hell I might even drop a 180mm pulley on her.
I'll say this only getting to drive the E55 on the weekends after driving a truck around all week really makes you appreciate how truly special these cars are. The dichotomy these cars offer is unsurpassed compared to anything else I've driven. One part lux cruiser, one part blow the doors off 95% of what's on the road. I love having my cake and eating it too.
What are your plans for the E55 this year? Oh and one of my college friends just bought a CLS55 and is feeling the mod bug bite so there's another AMG modder in town.
