Cutt car is very consistent with other cars that ran high 10`s in the past. That posted thier time slips, so we could compare. LT`s, 180mm, 82mmTB, tune, few cooling mods, 18" wheels with ET streets and good winter weather. You look at his launch (60ft), 1/8th mph and ET and mph. I have seen his car on the dyno a few times, as he drove like 600 miles to the same dyno we se, so he could compare.

I was curious if he was running this winter, asI have not heard from him.

tens

i still have my car,i dont post unless i have something to say. visited the track recently, best pass this year is 10.92@127. no fuel rail or injectors. i am working on that now just to be safe.the only changes i have made are the clk wheels and front spares and the tranny tune from jerry. i still have a serious delay between the 1/2 shift(gotta call jerry on that one),2/3 is much better. the problem now is i cant hook it like on the stock rims, the clk wheels are much lighter. i think that last past was a spinning 1.60'. i know she has a 10.80 in her if i can get it to hook. i believe the 255/50/16 m/t is to big a tire for a 7 inch rim. so i am going to try a drag radial that is a little smaller from hossier. next up will be the new supercharger pulley and injectors after i solve the traction problem...i dont think im going to do the heads as i have my eye on the new 5.5TT so i dont want to put a boat load of $$ in this car. there is a local guy that has a cls 5.5TT that went 11.39 @125 with just a tune on stock tires. it made 594hp/644 on the dyno. i will probably sell my car in about a year when the AMG depreciation kicks in on the new E63s

I love hearing that a mild modded E55 got in the 10's!!! Can't wait to hear what it does with some light rotors, light wheels, TQ converter, 550cc injectors, full exhaust and a LSD. My 04 E55 had the Hennessey pulley and a CM30 pump with stock HE on it when I bought it. I can't find what size pulley the Hennessey is. Must be Top Secret or something

How did you launch it? Traction Control on/off, ride setting, dyno mode?

I don't think you understand how much it takes to run nines. That vid is far from it. But yes with heavy mods any car can go nines

Like drag slicks and over 1000hp? They are pushing over 700hp on pump gas with just a tune and down pipes. These TT setups will be epic when they start playing with bigger turbos and injectors. AMS is pushing 1600hp out of the Nissan 3.8L TT engines.

I bet the E63 in the video could run a 9.99 with just slicks and a race gas tune.

700whp with pump gas, tune and down pipes. Please show me. It takes more than just power to run nines. With bigger turbos and built motor there's no doubt it will put down alot of power.

I will take that bet.

Who said whp? 717hp at the flywheel.
http://dyno-comp.com/blog/2012/04/me...ets-downpipes/

900hp should get it in the nines with drag tires.
183hp with race gas and more boost? You bet! NRE's TT engines are 1025hp on pump and 1500hp on race.

Yeah, traction helps too It ran a 11 flat on 19" all season tires.

http://news.renntechmercedes.com/201...t-run-to-date/

Heavier CLS63TT running 10.79@130 (10.38@sea level) 0-60 in 3.0 secs

The new TT's are no joke and docile as a stock for everyday use

I want to know the specs on the C6 Z06 corvette that ran a 7.99@181

Update on the car

I have owned this car for over 3 years now. Got it into consistent 10's in March 2021. Did a rebuild last summer and it did 10.46 @ 131 this past Sunday. See slip. I plan to take it to No Problem Raceway this weekend if the weather cooperates. Hoping for 10.3x. Then 9's within a year. Yes it's still in Louisiana. Still tuned by Eurocharged.

Weight reduction

Thanks! Front seat was out to compensate for my heavy panoramic roof. Otherwise it is full weight. I still have the factory dynamic driver's seat. I had an even better slip the following weekend. Going to try for deeper 10's this Saturday.

Keep up the good work! It’s encouraging me to stay stock blower… although I’d loooooooove a weistec or vrp setup on a light rebuild. I don’t think I’d need to sleeve the block. I’m not at serious irl as I am in my head lol
