"Coolant, Visit Workshop!'

Yesterday I got a low washer fluid level light so i filled it today. light went out, then on a drive back from ottawa, (20-30 miles), i stopped to help someone change a flat(damn pothole put a quarter size hole in his tire..). then upon returning to my car after about 20 mins idling with low heat on i got the 'coolant visit WS' light. not the one that says to low. it was about 10 degrees F with 10-20 mph winds outside, if that helps. the engine was at about 75-80 degrees C. this is low isnt it? i was also driving pretty hard.. any thoughts?

haters crazy
I've heard of this happening when the fan doesn't work properly. Apparently its common for the fan plug to break or melt. Check the plug.

HELP!! just went out to eat, and about 2 blocks from the place the windows started fogging. i opened the windows with the express feature, and then they wouldnt stop. every control in all the doors ceased function, be it the windows, seats, mirrors, and trunk release... then in fear that the car would not start again i drove right home parked it in the garage, and when i got out it locked ITSELF and i had to wait 10 minutes to unlock it! WTF is wrong with my car!!??

You might have a dead battery or your alt is going out.

E55 AMG, C32 AMG
I had a similar problem. It turned out to be a coolant pipe. Fixed at the stealership for $692. But I was dripping coolant visibly.

Two 957 Cayenne GTS's (black and silver), Duc749 (dark), departed '03 E55
I know this is a mildly old thread, but I've just experienced two of the issues covered in this thread.

1.) I just got the 'Coolant - Visit Workshop Message'. It's happened twice over 2 weeks (keep in mind the car only gets driven a few times a week), but always goes away. Even ran codes and nothing showed up.

2.) My interior lights mildly flicker when first starting the car. I've also twice in two months seen the Convenience Function error.

Doing some searching, and knowing the car is a '03 (38k miles), I've already located a Batteries Plus to replace the small battery. I believe this could solve the flickering and Convenience, but this thread makes me think it could be causing the coolant issue as well? Odd.

So, any further update on your issues 03'55AMG?
