Stop Lamp Switch Affect Keyless Start?
Does anyone know if a faulty switch will throw the "BRAKE" visit workshop warning? Also, it seems to be affecting my keyless start. My car is in the garage and is buried in by snow so i cant really play with it. I was just wondering if you guys could confirm any of the symptoms.
THanks,

Bumping an old thread. I had the problem where my keyless go would only intermittently work. I found when I released the brake pedal and depressed it again the keyless go function would work(on occasion). I would also get a random white screen "Brake! Service brakes, visit workshop" message. I found the problem to be an intermittent stop light switch problem. $9 from the dealer, 5 minute install, and no problems to date.
