Torque/Thrust Bushing

The MB dealer said that I had a Torque/Thrust Bushing that was torn and needed to be replaced. Of course they give me a part number nor describe exactly what this is.

Anyone able to tell me what it is?

Jason, Its part of the lower suspension. Its like a stabilizer arm. I guess the bushing is not able to be pressed out so you have to replace the whole arm. I wouldn't worry to much about it mine has some tear in it and the front end shake down is tight and I dont get any abnormal symptoms while driving.

I believe it is covered under my warranty, so I would like to have it fixed if it is bad. Knowing exactly what it is would be great.

I don't like to leave things broken.

It looks like the bushing would be #10, but you say it can't be pressed off so you have to buy the entire 9+10 assembly eh?

Good find, thanks Steve!

It is #10. And yes it can be pressed out. The whole arm is close to $200, if I recall correctly, and the bushing is $40-50. Just make if you press it out, that the new one is aligned correctly.
