Future Mods/A little Winter bath after sitting under a cover for a month!!

I had to pull the cover off and wash the Beast!!! Iam getting ready to start paying some much needed attention to her . I just got done installing Valve cover gaskets, Sparkplugs, wires, and a new crank pulley bolt. (I found mine was slightly loose so I uninstalled the ASP pulley inspected it for runout was perfect, and installed the new bolt.)

Whats everyones upcomming plans for there Beasts??

Mine: Wrap engine covers in Carbonfiber Wrap, Black the headlights, Install 2 8'' Spahl fans on the back of the H/E as "pullers", and Install my Longtube headers,Xpipe, and RE-Tune

Enjoy: Sorry for the Cell phone Pictures!!

On your "Black the headlights" job, are you going to black out the inside of the lights or just do the outside? If your doing the blackout inside I would love to see that DIY.

Did you have to run spacers for your backups to fit?

I know what you would like to have for springThose would look hot on a silver E55.

Future mods include, getting my beast back this week after getting an offroad h pipe finished with magnaflow magnapacks, going to raise the dead I tell you. I am also installing a new gatorback blower belt(hoping for that signature whistle those belts give off at idle) and installing my new AMG pdeals thanks to jbspeed. I am also working on a custom cooling system with Bruce at TTM. Big mod this year will be his grinded 82 MM T/B and hopefully some kleeman headers.

Changing spark plugs on these cars is a PIA!

Your knuckles look like you were a fight with a brick wall when you're done.

You make it sound like such an enjoyable endeavor!

I better tell the wife to stock up on gauze, I'm changing mine soon.

For me, mostly maintenance items since I just bought the car. Probably won't start modding until later this year.

Make sure you have 16 plugs (many don't realize this), lengthy 14mm open end wrench to use as a pry bar for the plug wires, extending magnet tool to retrieve the other tools that you're going to drop into the abyss, dialectric grease for the plug boots when you re-install, and a 12 pack of your favorite beer.

Nice looking wheels and ride. Don't paint 'em. Nice contrast with the Tecite Grey.

Or a recent soccer match I attended in Rio de Janeiro.

***Edit****

17mm open ended wrench, not 14mm.

A friend of mine who owns a performance shop here in town, his dad does Car restoration stuff out of there as well. That was actually just the car shop where him and his dad store all of there car collection. its actually a monster at around 30k square feet. If you notice in the backround everyting is off the shelves and the 4 lifts that were in there are moved because they just added to the shop. You should swing by some time. You would like it!

Mine is under cover and on a tender. She wont see the pavement until the first good rain to get that salt gone.

Thie snow here in the North East sucks, at this rate I don't think I'll be able to give her wash and drive it until April?
I agree, I won't use it untill a nice late winter rain to wash the salt away.
I like Benzo's comments on changing the plugs, I think that's going to be one of my spring time project's, I'lll probably plan to do the first eight plugs (one side) and if goes well I'll go for the rest.
