KILLER CHILLER
I JUST RECEIVED THE NEW CORE DESIGNS THIS WEEKEND,ALTHOUGH THE LARGE CORE,155K BTU,WILL PROBABLY HAVE TO BE INSTALLED WHERE THE H/E GOES, THE STANDARD CORE,55K BTU, SHOULD MOUNT WHERE THE ORIG. CORE WAS BUT I WON'T BE ABLE TO CHECK UNTIL THIS COMING WEEKEND.IT'S TO BAD THEY HAD TO COVER THE CORES UP WITH INSULATION BECAUSE THEY LOOK GREAT.I'M GOING TO CHECK FITMENT FOR OTHER MODELS AS WELL THIS WEEK.MORE TO COME...................SO STAY TUNED.

KC installed in boot cooling res tank sounds like the ideal use of space and best function.
I guess running the cooling lines are a no go for this?

Hey Scott, I'm not in the Bay area anymore but will gladly drive up to see you once you are ready to install for other board members. I didn't think I needed it up in the Bay when I saw it on your E, but I'm told down here in SoCal it can hit 110*F so please keep us up to date. Thanks for the R&D.

Hehe, aye mate. I wish it were out for our cars now, I would be all over it. Heading to Florida in a couple weeks and I know it will probably be hot there.

OK GUYS,TRIAL FITTED THE NEW CORE TO THE 04 E55 I JUST PICKED UP.I WAS HOPING TO USE LESS PARTS BUT I WAS ONLY ABLE TO GET RID OF 1 HOSE.THE STANDARD CORE WILL FIT IN THE ORIG. SPOT I HAD MOUNTED BUT IN ORDER TO USE THE RACE CORE YOU WOULD HAVE TO MOUNT IN THE H/E LOCATION.BY USING THE RACE CORE YOUR A/C INTERIOR SYSTEM WILL PROBABLY SUFFER,SLOW TO COOL,ETC.I'M WAITING FOR SOME FEEDBACK FROM ANOTHER BOARD MEMBER TO SEE HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS IN EXTREME HEAT(DUBAI) WITH THE OLD CORE DESIGN.ANY INQUIRIES YOU CAN PM ME.I'M HOPING TO MOUNT THE RACE CORE SYSTEM TO MY 04 AND LOG THE INFO BUT I'M STILL A FEW WEEKS OUT FOR THAT,I GOTTA INSTALL THE COIL-OVER KIT FIRST

installed with a little diffrent setup ( first kind of us all who installed it )

i can say IATs are lower then outside temp. and i didn't even isolate the housing or T's.
i will cover them this weekend and see the results. car does feel strong. from 40C IAt to 20C IAT from dig.
im just waiting for Scott to reply about my setup that i did and his comments on it.

I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF MY COIL-OVER INSTALL BUT AS SOON AS THAT'S DONE I'M GOING TO FIT THE RACE CORE TO THE 04 211076 AND SEE WHAT THE RESULTS ARE.I'M RUNNING THE STOCK PULLEY FOR NOW AND I GONNA LOG RESULTS. ALI INSTALLED HIS KIT AND I'M WAITING ON HIS INPUT ABOUT THE DIRECTIONS I PUT TOGETHER.ONE THING TO REMEMBER ABOUT THIS KIT IS THAT IT WILL HELP YOU ON RECOVERY TIME AS WELL AS LOWER IAT'S TO START WITH AND WHILE CRUISING, TO MAINTAIN A LOWER IAT ON THE HIGH END I THINK METH INJECTION WILL BE NEEDED.IF YOU CAN START WITH 20 DEGREES IAT'S LOWER THAN AMBIENT RATHER THAN 20 DEGREES ABOVE THEN YOU CAN SEE THE ADVANTAGE.I'M LOOKING INTO AT RUNNING THE A/C FULL OR AS MUCH AS I CAN WHILE UNDER LOAD IF IT'S EVEN POSSIBLE OR IF I CAN FIND A WORK AROUND PROCEDURE.IF YOU CAN KEEP THE COOLING EFFECT ON LONGER I SUSPECT YOU'LL GAIN MUCH MORE POWER THAN IT WILL TAKE TO RUN THE A/C. HIT ME UP W/ ? AT MY PM,UNTIL THEN,THERE'S MORE WORK TO BE DONE.

yes indeed. recovery time is way too fast. as soon as i remove my leg from WOT. it directly goes back to below ambient. which is very nice for back to back WOT.
