Good news the dates for the events should be published very soon, as the March event is vastly approaching. Brian is having a sales meeting at 9 am tomorrow, after that their have a meeting aout the AMG Events. So good news should evolve from it.

I received an email from Brian, on Friday informing me, that he will meet with management this upcoming Wednesdays March 2nd to discuss the events schedule and details. So we are moving ahead slowly, but moving.

I just asked Brian, if Management has settled the dates for the events for this year. His reply was hopefully, we will get the word today.

Well, I just got a little tired of waiting for an answer. So, I called Brian and asked him point blank WHEN? His answer was that we are 90% sure that we will hold the events on the last Sunday of the month, since there open anyway. He's waiting to hear back from Randy the Business Manager for confirmation. So I let the cat out of the bag already, because I'm enthusiastic. Like a kid before Christmas his all his presents opened. 
I will post the revised events schedule when I get home. We are planning to have a representative from AMG, as the presenter of the tech session on the 5.5 Bi-Turbo. So, we need to confirm his itinerary. At least we are further ahead then we were on Monday.

AMG Events for 2011
1) March- Tech session on the new 5.5Liter Twin Turbo Engine.
The session would highlight the technical specifications for the engine and review the stop and start functionality of the new motors. Discuss timeline of new product introductions and what is new for 2011 and beyond.
2) May - Do it yourself tech event technician discusses things that an owner could do himself. Overview of AMG specific servicing requirements and care.
3) June - CLS 63 AMG Intro
4) August - C63 Intro and overview of vehicle
5) September Auto X Day for AMG club members/ AMG tech overview of track based features.
6) October - SLS Roadster Intro and overview of vehicle
The last word, that I received from Brian today, was that he's 90% sure that the events would occur on the last Sunday of each month, but he needs to consult the business manager for confirmation. So until I hear some different, plan for last Sunday on March 27th, May 29th, June 26th, Aug 28th, Sept 25th and October 30th. If anything changes, I will post it.
And if your planning on attending any of these events, please PM me with your information; Name, Email, Screen Name, Vehicle Model, phone number is optional. We need this information so we can account for you in our numbers for food and beverages, and gifts, etc.

If you look at the beginning of the thread, we originally had 10 events that I originally had envisioned. Well, I submitted this list to management, and they reviewed it. And they made changes to it, the bottom line is that their are only six events now, and these events coincide with the releases of the new 2011 model line, SLS roadster, CLS, SLK, etc. So this is it. This is however the first year, I'm just hoping that next year 2012 is better. So no, their is not an event for July.

Ladies and Gentlemen,Brian just emailed me, we are finally good to go for March 27th at 10:00 am. Event details are below. If you are planning on attending please add your name to the list of attendees at the bottom. We need to collect a tentative head count, to account for food and beverages etc. This would be greatly appreciated!
