Voltage on front battery vs. rear when engine running?

I turned the car on and measured the voltage at the rear battery and it was low 14's. When I check the voltage in the front battery it was only high 12's. Is this normal ( does the car purposefully reduce voltage to the front battery ) or can I assume there is wire corrosion somewhere?

That is normal, the small battery has its own charge circuit. Over the years there has been a few updates to that charger circuit software, they are listed in the stickies.
When the small battery starts to go the car will warn you.

call dealer with your VIN and ask if your car has had the updates. (more than one)
