Wow my car is a beast! I got to 140 in no time with three people in the car. At about 140 though I heard some sort of humming sound. I feel like it was the tires or something. Does anyone know what this sound was?

Happens to just about everyone at different high speeds. Mine is right around yours.

This guys kicks in at 290kmh, whatever the heck speed that is.

Humming sound? I started to think its the fuel pump. Happens often past 115. Its not a pleasant sound.

Yeah it is normal when going at those speeds or around 160 lol. I have done it probably five or six times and you always get the vibration and small rattling from simply going so fast: wind, road, aerodynamics, and etc.

If you have panoroof, it usually hums starting around 130mph.

I remember it from my 04 e55, it was the driveshaft. I know exactly what you are talking about. I bet if you got your drivrshaft balanced and went for another high speed pull, it would not do that. Did you feel a slight vibration too?

iv taken mine up past 150 and it was smooth and stable.it might be your tires as some get hard in the cold and hum.

That's wild that some of you guys feel the car that close at 150plus. I usually am so focused on the fact that I am doing near a football field a second, I just hang on and keep checking for obstacles...heh and cops.

Well yeah of course the cops, but at that point might as well try to outrun them instead of stopping cause your going to jail!

Not only jail, but your cars is LONG gone.. Lol. I even heard in Cali your car can legally be smashed if your caught street racing.. Dunno if it's true but if it is, damn!

Yes in good old Cali they can and have confiscated and crushed cars for street racing. This includes a beautiful 60's mustang caught racing by Bob Hope airport.......

Does it look for helicopters Or instant on Laser? I would recommend future runs be soley performed in Mexico.

When I had my evo, i got pulled over by a helicopter. Cop asked me if I had any drugs or knives in the car because of how fast i was going. Radar had 7 bogeys on me. lol It does look for instant on laser.

thankfully no I didn't goto jail. cop just wrote me a hefty 115 ticket via AIR 37 or whatever. Too bad I didn't have a sunroof. I look up everytime I look for cops now ever since this happened. lol Ticket was like 550 bucks

My dealer told me a great story of a rich guy, they just call him "the SLR guy" who wanted a ML63. He bought it with cash and drove out of the dealer.....onto I 15....then over to I-80 West (loooooong stretches of straight roads) where he proceded to blow by a trooper at 153mph and BAM right in jail he went. From dealer to jail in about an hour, classic!!!
