7. Remove resonator (completed)

The 7th item on my list of things to mod on the car was removing the resonator. I had 2 hours to kill between meetings and saw this mom and pop muffler shop, so I said why not. I had the shop remove the resonator and replace with straight pipes. Personally, I could hear no difference in the car. I did my best to hear a difference, but it sounded the same to me as before with the resonator. But, I did at least take 10 lbs(?) off the car. I will weigh the resonator later tonight and post the weight.

With help from Shardul, I was finally able to install a reservior tank in the spare tank area of my wagon. Here are some pics:

Here are pics of my trunk area, with the cover over the tank / spare tire area.

I also deleted the OEM mufflers (22lbs each) and replaced it with glass packs (14lbs each). The net effect was a reducation of approximately 15-16lbs. I also removed all that other stuff in my spare tire area that I have never used (b/c I call AAA) to further reduce another 15lbs. Moreover, the wagon sound so much better!
