Its either going to be a V12TT Mercedes or 930 Turbo.


Out of these two, it is prolly going to be the V12TT. Quite a few people (my parents included) say that I will put the 930 into a wall at some point or that it will burst into a majestical ball of flames.

Do you mean to the crank? To the ground would indicate you are over 600 RWHP. It's possible on the 600 with the upgraded turbos, intercooler, and ECU tune but I don't believe it would be possible with just the ECU tune.

A great upgrade from the E55 would be the 65 with Speedriven upgraded intake, turbos, and ECU tune. You will have all the power you will ever need. Over 700 RWHP would be nice in the CL65 or SL65. Traction may be a serious issue even at triple digits.

Well, after I get rid of my E55, I would either move in to a bi-turbo E63 or a bi-turbo S65 assuming I stick with an MB. If I don't stick with MB, I'll most likely be looking at a Ferrari of some sort. My E55 was purchased to be my weekend car, so whatever replaces it will also fit the same bill.

Right now I'm looking at moving to the new CTS-V in 2-3 years. Then back to the bi-turbo E63 possibly. A lot can change in that time though. lol

I'll own other cars (and do), but I don't see ever parting with our E55 wagon. Just too cool.

We need the third row, so the CTS-V wagon doesn't work. Porsche Cayenne Turbo is, to me, ugly. SUVs are no fun. Maybe a new E63 wagon, but I don't think they're imported yet.

I want to add an F355 F1 convertible, but don't have my wife on board yet

I miss my E55...an everyday 4 door rocket. I'll be looking at 2nd gen E/CLS63 BiTurbo as an option to scratch my sedan torque itch...

I saw this a couple of months ago at a Tampa dealership...I wouldn't say pretty but purposeful. The M5 may be a tick faster but it loses in the looks department for me...

Not sure what I'd add but yeah I don't want to part with mine. I am supposed to be driving one of my winter vehicles now since it is winter but I can't stop driving my E55 ... soooo comfortable and fast! GTRs, Lambo are really nice and really fast ... but I still love the shocker/sleeper four door family sedan

I drove the 4 door CTS-V a couple weeks. It was a 2010 with ~11k miles. Car is a BLAST to drive but I could not get over the cheap interior. It feels like a upgraded Chevy Cobalt inside. Awesome powertrain with huge potential to make huge power but after owning the E55 it is going to be hard to find a non european car that is on the same level. Refined speed!

That looks yummy!

I am not convinced that the new M5 is quicker in a straight line the biturbo E63 with Performance package.

Simply because the AMG has 5.5 liters and the M5 only has 5? or 4.8 someone correct me. Their engines are always on the smaller side. I cant tell the difference sometimes. Both weight about the same but the AMG will have god like torque. I guess only one way to find out.

Anyone thinking of a Panamera Turbo or Turbo S?

I tested the '12 CLS TT63 and the car is the logical successor to my 55. That said, I couldn't get excited enough to pull the trigger.

I'm leaning towards the position voiced by fellow members- I think I'll always have the 55. It's just too much fun. I can't think of anything out there that matches its combination of speed, styling and fun.
