Few questions about iPod kit Install. (Yachtmaster?)
I recently saw yachts DIY on an iPod cradle install and pondered up a few questions that the search button and google can't answer.
1.do you have to have the command option for this to work? I have a 2003 e55.
2. Is this plug and play? Like can you just run all the wires then listen to iPod all day?
3. In the DIY, you remove the ashtray to release the head unit, although my ashtray will not budge a centimeter. How'd did you remove yours?
4th and lastly, with the CD you have in your DIY, does that go into the radio and install it's own software, or is it like a DVD with Instuctions?

Yes you need Command, it has "aux in" that Audio 50 dose not have.
Plug & Play with Command
Push release button and the tray will come out, then 2 screws remove the frame.
The CD is instructions.
