are you referring to an intercooler or heat exchanger? an slr style intercooler will cost you a few grand minimum whereas a heat exchanger will be a few hundred.

any type of cooling upgrade will keep the car from losing power on prolonged runs but if you intend on keeping the car stock, i'd just upgrade the stock intercooler pump and call it a day.

There are many people on forum that go with the Johnson CM-30 pump, including myself.

What do you plan on using the car for? If it's just a street car, your wasting your money.

johnson cm-30.

by the sounds of it (per your post about not being able to keep up with a stock c6) your oem i/c pump has already begun to fail. replace your pump and go find that vette again!

+1 on the Meziere wp136 it works like a charm if you can mount it correctly.

an upgraded h/e is a good upgrade but you still have to get rid of the weak oem i/c pump.

May I just point out that the intercooler is a heat exchanger...

LOL, but when we're talking our cars, the intercooler is mounted under the supercharger, and the heat exchanger is behind the front bumper cover.
