Question for E63 Owners....

Have any of you done the header/tune & K&N filters on your E63 and dyno'ed it before and after the modifications ?

Reason I ask is a local tuner here says that those 3 mod's will gain 80 hp to the rear wheels and just trying to confirm it by others or find out what kinda of gains anyone has got on these 3 mods or any combination of them + or -.

Plus anyone got any baseline dyno sheets of these cars on the dyno ?

Thanks in advance for any and all info.

Yes I did search the forums and found a ton of info on the E55's but could not find this info VIA my search.

It depends which company you go with for the upgrades... in general, true long tubes + a good ECU tune will net you only 50 hp or so on the E63. To get the extra 30, you may have to go with the RENNtech airbox, throttle bodies, and maybe custom dyno tuning. Tony's (malakasnyc) car is making 500 whp but it's a freak

Whichever company you choose, make sure you dyno your car before and after the upgrades. Also, dyno the car beforehand at an independent shop that has no connection what so ever to the shop who's doing the upgrades. On average, E63s dyno anywhere between 400 to 420 on a dynojet. On a dyno dynamics, the numbers are about 10% lower.

Isn't the simpler solution to just buy malakasnyc's E63 and call it a day?

Click on my sig. Both baseline and after was done on the same dyno days apart.

The baseline was 417 on a dyno dynamics.
