My dilemma...Should I keep my E55 as a daily driver?
What are you guy's thoughts on this....
I have an 06 E55 with 60k and its stock. I currently have a bit more than 2 years left on my extended warranty.
Here is my dilemma....
After I finish paying off my E55 in the next 2-3 years I want to get me a GT-R (not for daily driving, just for fun). I done some research and to no surprise found out that to play/mod & also properly maintenance the GT-R can be very expensive.
I want to have my daily driver car paid-off at that point, which for the longest time I want it to be my E55 (I love my E55!
). But now that I been thinking about it Im wondering if that is a good idea. So far my car has had no major issues, and I also had the peace of mind with that warranty. But if I do decide to keep this car for a very long time it will eventually mean driving this car on a daily basis without any warranty, and Im just concern that might not be the best idea.
Im not going to ever get a crappy car just so that I can have a GT-R... that is never going to happen. Im just wondering if I should keep this E55 and hope that by doing its proper maintenance will result in no major issues or should I switch to something that is easier & cheaper to maintain... the car that I thought about would be a Lexus GS-430.
Any thoughts or opinions?

Maybe you should sell the E55 to a new MBWorld Forums member.....
Or if it interests you, take his '05 E500 4MATIC in trade (plus some CASH!!) and use that as your DD instead.
Just trying to help...![naughty](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/naughty.gif)

same here, close to 82K miles and it hasnt given me too many problems so far. my friend is getting close to 165k miles on a 04 e55 and his car still drives like a beast! Maintence is key, spend a few $$ for maintence and you'll avoid many costly repairs down the line. plus the E55 makes a great daily!!

Honestly, I think it depends on what your checkbook looks like, and that is something only you know. If you can swing it without hurting, then by all means...keep it!

I love my E55 as my daily driver. It can be sedate or rediculous depending on the mode or the traffic or how badly other drivers p1$$ you off
