I unintentionally erased mine when I flashed the CGW as there was a newer version of the firmware. I did an offline update and literally had to go back in and set up all the components that were installed on the car and then make up a list of services performed and mileage. I wouldn't recommend that route as it was a PITA to do and literally took me 4 attempts to get it all right so I could finally save the configuration.

Ok thanks thats an option and the gateway you mean is the one under the drivers dash panel next to the OBD port. I dont mind about the services as I have my paper records.

Configurations would include ? phone prep etc?
