HID/Non-HID wiring differences.
Alright, so I'll admit I'm pretty terrible at cars when it comes to electrical system modifications and diagnosis.
I've been thinking about blacking out my headlight enclosures recently, an am considering going with some aftermarkets rather than risk butchering my nice OEM headlights. Looking around the web, most of the options are drop in replacements for non-HID cars. Well, mine came with HIDs so I'm not sure if I could simply pull out the old bulbs/ballasts and make them work with the aftermarket set.
Yeah yeah I know I'll lose autoleveling, but I don't really care.
Anyone know what the differences between them are? Is there any easy way to make a non-HID enclosure work on an HID equipped car?
Thanks.

Looks like you might be a candidate for these - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2003-...Q5fAccessories

I might also consider these others but they say they don't fit factory HID system:

I did a photoshop to see what both looked like on my car and actually liked the look of the LED ones better. I'd just hate to get them and end up hating having LEDs on the light.
One goal in all this is to avoid baking the headlight as I've found they're never really the same after the fact.
