Good to see your still here.. I may be there, but just to watch as my car wont be out of storage yet..I think Skratch mentioned going Saturday for the test and tune.

glad you are still here as well! Storage...that is a novel idea. But I find when I let my car sit for more than a week or two random things go wrong with it...and it does surprisingly well with snows in the white stuff.

Anyway, don't want to hijack my own thread - if that's even possible.

Anyone else? I might consider the test and tune...

Snows lol,Im on nitto invos and in this cold I only get traction in 3rd,if its reallly cold out you wont see any 11s since no one will grip there.

Lets just hope they prep the track for once

I meant the snows towards Zax.. But yea late in the year last year the track was like ice.. Im hoping Saturday will be nice with some sun, so you can get some good runs in.

While at this point I am only an outsider... I am hoping by July I am able to find myself back in an AMG!!!

In any case, Andrew, I think I am probably going to set up a track rental on YR at some point before it gets too warm and after cars are able to get traction

I want to try to run an 11.6 on street tires, just for the stealth effect. DRs always make it look like I know what I'm doing, which is a f-ing facade. But on street tires, I just look like an idiot who showed up in his limo.

I'll probably miss this first event, but hopefully there will be another chance to do a meet-n-greet with other local E55 owners this summer...

What's the deal with NH Dragway? I read that the rules changed this year and now a cage is required for cars that didn't previously need them? Probably not an issue for a "stock" E55 but it sounded like it was already becoming an issue for the modded guys...

I've never run the 1/4 mile before. What sort of safety equipment is required? I'm assuming a recent Snell-rated helmet at the minimum....anything else?

Greg, helmet is necessary. One of us (or few of us) will be the test dummys for getting kicked out for running faster than 12.5 w/o cage...

Can someone please show me where it says 12.5 needs a cage? Iv been hearing this rumor also and looked at the rule book and could not find anything saying 12.5 and under needs a cage.

I mean I got told to stop last year for 3 back to back under 11.5s but 12.5 is insane for a cage.

I needa figure out my wheel/tire situation, Im picking up some 19s next week. Should be good to go then. No M/T DR for me yet. My winter 18s are too bent for the track and you know what happened to the 20's last week
Text me when youre done with the plugs and mounts, lets setup a time at the dyno shop! Taking a look at my A/F's wont hurt either.

Reason I said wednesday is cause I'll be leaving straight from work in Bedford at like 7-8, so its closer.. (it closes at 10 I believe).. I'd be glad to give you a lift but dont think it'll work. Plus would be nice to roll there in a few cars. Angelo should have his beast up and running soon too, he'll prolly be down too as he's close.
