Ford Premium Warranty on E55?

Ford Premium Warranty on E55?
I'm in the middle of shopping for an E55 (likely found one to purchase) and I'm trying to find the best option for third-party warranties. While I've heard terrific things about EasyCare, their prices are $$$ (e.g., $5,800 for 3/36 w/ 500 deductible).
I called the local Ford dealership, and spoke with the finance manager, who offered a Ford ESP PreimumCare warranty. It's pretty impressive (see below list for exclusions) and is $3,295 for 3/36 with a $100 deductible.
Has anyone purchased one of these through Ford? While it's backed by FoMoCo, and is good through any Ford dealership, I am concerned about repairs that require special Mercedes tools.
Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

One of the main concerns I had when I bought mine was being able to have the MB dealer here in town be able to service my car, make sure MB parts went back into it and an MB tech performed the labor. For me personally I wouldn't want a Ford/Chevy/Chrysler tech working on my car using parts from KOI or NAPA, which is why i chose my warranty. Not degrading those techs in any way, they just aren't fmailiar with the vehicle. The warranty company lets me take it to the dealer and it all gets sorted out internally. Agreed the pricing can be high on extended coverage for the car but even though you might be buying it a Cobalt SS price, it isn't a Cobalt SS. Keep that in mind before you pull the trigger. A few more dollars now could be priceless in the long run.
Hope this helps in your decision.

Most after market companies would let you take the car to who ever you want to take it to...
I just purchased Fidelity 5/60 for my '06 E55 with 43,000 miles still under CPO for $4700

I purchased my E55 through a Ford dealer with that exact warranty. The following week a Ford warranty service manager called me saying they cancelled the policy because it was an AMG car. The dealer quickly paid the difference for an easy care warranty.

I just purchased an E55 & went through a similar situation, the warranty. I did alot of research & ended up going with Bruce at Becks Imports. He is a member on here.
He was able to get me 48/50 for a great price.
I would talk to him before you do anything.
GL!

I understand
as I wrote something similar, but it clearly stated in OPs post:
It sounded like that was the only option for repairs. Reference my previous post as to why I think that's a bad idea....
