Whats the differnece between these two xpipes?

Looking to buy an x pipe and saw these two online, which one would you pick? I will be putting it in place of 2nd cats and replacing resonators with straight pipes.

Im leaning towards the magnaflow because it ships from Canada which means cheaper and quicker shipping to me.

Not much. They will both do what you are looking for.

magnaflow x will out flow the cheaper rip off. You get what you pay for.

What are the sound benefits? More aggressive when you get on the gas? What about drone at lower RPM's? I'd just be replacing the resonator, not getting straight pipes.

Where do you get that? An X-pipe isn't magic and it's design is simple enough that I'm sure a 9 year old chinese boy can duplicate it.

It helps enhance the scavenging effect to make more power...but it's mostly about sound.

I have the top one, exhaust guy figured I spend way more than I did for it. He said it was a quality unit and he does all sort of hot rods, etc. No issues. No magic with X-pipes and i seriously doubt one will flow more than another unless there is a design issue or really serious bends.

Many of those have other mods to the exhaust such as cut muffler, different muffler, no muffler, etc. I have resonator and 2nd cat deletes and it sounds good with a low end growl and a bit louder top end without sounding raspy nor any resonance.

I used the same magnaflow xpipe for my last few applications and always works great.

You could always just go back to Speed Syndicate to install it for you

To be honest, I would not use either.. They are both stamped metal and not as nice as a smooth, mandrel bent and tig welded X pipe.. Pypes makes nice X pipes and so does Burns.. Pypes is more resonable.. I think there is a decent one in Dr Gas too.

Honestly, just because the Magnaflow is a name brand I'd rather spend the extra $50 on it. When it comes to cars you shouldn't take a risk for $50 IMO.

I have a magnaflow one in my car and trust me...it's super smooth inside. It's about as smooth as you can get with no internal obstructions nor reduced pipe area.

Risk what? It's an X-pipe, not a piston...lol.

Exactly. It's a pipe with a hole in it. Don't make it more than what it is.
Actually, the cheap one looks like it would flow better, due to the increased area at the middle.

Magnaflow is name brand but is still cheap name brand. Kinda like Pabst Blue Ribbon. Either way, an X is an X.
