Dyno numbers are nearly useless and can only used to compare changes in mods and tunes. This tells you nothing.

JUST BUSTTING YOUR *****... I was trying to sound like your most helpful buddy through this whole thing.

Those are awesome numbers and a real tribute to your stick-to-it-ness. I would still have been sitting in the corner shaking and clutching one of my daughters Care Bears if I had been through your challenges.

lol but its true, its just a dyno and should be used to only compare before and after.

I did 385whp stock on my dyno and 470 after all my mods.

get that biatch down the 1/4 mile and bust out a low 11 second run and then you can brag about numbers lol

Everything Mr. SK said had some truth in it. His bedside manner just sucked. I hope he isn't a doctor.

Looks like you are going to need a fuel rail injector upgrade at that power level bro, extra insurance is a good thing

cannot empahsize more on the need for injectors. i think even people with a 180mm should have bigger injectors to run safe. all it takes is that one time with the air is cold and timing doesnot get pulled and there is not enough fuel to cool the combustion chamber.

I have a 180mm pulley. I'll probably upgrade injectors in the somewhat near future...but right now I'm not even beating on the car too much. I'm taking it pretty easy.

I'm definitely not up for a top speed run that's for sure...lol.

Someone needs to make GT-ER's Woodruff key mod a sticky for future reference.

GT-ER,

For the tune, did they do it onsite, remote or was it a box tune? I ask because I'm about to get headers replacing everything up to the mufflers so I want to get the tune just right.

As I'm in AZ, I usually do the remote tune with Jerry.

Appreciate the advice.

Alex

thought I would say congrats on the numbers.. first post and looking at getting an E55 211 myself.

Would you say you may have fear of detonation or is the motor's bottom end strong enough to hold that power and more (granted I will probably stay in the stockish range once I get mine)

It was done remotely via remote desktop but I just got one of Jerry's regular box tunes ( it was not a dyno tune ).

I've seen a lot more power out of these motors with no issues. They tend to have very stout bottom ends. With that said, You could have an engine built for 1000whp and have it blow up at 300whp. It's all in the tune.

LOL...GT-ER's screwed up crank snout mod.

I still have a slight amount of wobble though so it wasn't a 100% success.

Oh of course...lol...

Lets see if on monday I can get her to the track...I'd be running my Falken Azenis street tires so I don't expect to see 11's but I wonder if I could touch 120mph? I dunno...I'd be happy trapping 118 or so.
