W211 E55 Engine Cover Star Replacement

Hey all,

Just took delivery of a black '06 E55. LOVE the car! One little thing is that I found that the small 3 pointed MB star on the front engine cover is missing.

I called several dealerships and they all said that the only way to replace it would be to replace the whole upper engine cover.

Is there an after market star that any of you guys know of that I could pop in there that would work?

Any thoughts or suggestions are much appreciated!

The Stealer was right you cannot replace only the Star. The Chrome star on some of the wheel caps is the same diameter as the star on the engine cover but the attachment points are totally different. I tried to glue one of the stars on mine but there is not enough surface area for it to stick well. You can get another type of emblem to replace it. Search on "Engine Painting Project Done" to get some ideas.
