E55 Tire Recommendation?
Every forum always has a "go to" recommendation. 
I was thinking about Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus (Ultra High Performance All-Season).
I wanted something that wouldn't freeze up on a cold morning (which I've experienced with other strictly summer tires).

I have those and love them. You'll loose a little grip on dry pavement but not enough to matter unless you are racing from a stop. They last twice as long as the regular Pilot Sports, so for me it's worth it. I've put about 15,000 miles on mine and they still have plenty of tread left.

There seems to be more collective forum experience with the Conti DWS on the 211 AMG. The Conti's are universally praised. They work surprisingly well in the cold, and even on snow (OMG!). All the while, they are reasonably sticky in hot weather, quiet, and even have a decent ride.
That said, I've not seen a back-to-back comparison between the Pilot's and DWS, so not sure how they differ.
