You are correct GT-ER, keeping the heat inside will, well heat it more and be more likely to crack.
However when ceramic coating headers, it can be and usually is done on the inside and out of the headers which lowers the overall temperature of the headers and will be less likely to crack the bad welding/design. Slownrusty was on the right path.

He offered me an option of setting up an appointment and bringing them the car so they could perform the labor of removing the headers at little to no cost. Even though, this was an option, I already had the car at another shop (prior to discovering the crack...thinking it was a leaking gasket) replacing all the exhaust gaskets, so I decided to leave it there.
Either way, he assured me that Renntech would in fact replace or repair the headers free of cost (even went as far as providing free shipping back and forth)!!!! I will follow up how everything turns out, but so far Renntech and Mark looks to be genuinely concerned...
As an update: Both of your E55 RENNtech headers have been completely updated, reworked and just came back from ceramic coating. Here are some updated pictures:

The headers are being shipped back to you today standard overnight with new gaskets and copper paste for the install at no cost to you. Thanks again for you patience and we appreciate your business.

Mark @ RENNtech
