Newest Fuel Sending Unit Part
Like many others out there I need to replace my DS Fuel Sending Unit.
Problem is most online part stores dont carry the newest part number. Anyone been able to locate the newest part online?
MB's newest part number out there is 211 470 5194.
Sorry for another boring Fuel Sending Unit Post!

yep thats the one $545.21 they installed in my car DS a month ago. Cost me $936 installed. Car doesnt smell like gas anymore. Hope it lasts more than a 2 years. Thats how long the recall in 2008 lasted till it leaked this year.

The "new" sending unit part number does not fix anything. I had my 3rd set of sending units installed in Oct last year. "new pn" and they failed 6 months later. Then MB installed 4th set of senders along with the new gas tank last month and one of the senders failed on startup and needed replaced before it left the shop. Again new pn.

It's unlikely it's the pump or the sending unit. Do some quick searching and you'll find instructions for replacing the CPS.

Also the cam position sensor. I had the long trying to start issue and 1st replaced the "crank" ps and the problem was still there the next day. I then replaced the "cam" position sensor and problem solved every since.

How much is this part? (cam position sensor) I just bought the CPS for $45 dollars and it should be here in 2 days..I am about to buy the extender and the E8 torque socket which I'm guessing I can buy from a hardware store

I would do the "crank" 1st unless you just want to change both at the same time. Here is where I got my Crank and Cam sensors.
