PCV/EGR help please.

Few hard runs then I noticed oil burning smell. Theres so much oil pressure building up the PCV to intake hose keeps popping off.

There's so much oil that keeps coming back in the intake and TB area I think a valve? is stuck in the closed position and is not allowing crank case ventilation and crank case pressure very high.

How do I check for blockage? Where do I check?
Where are the PCV valves?

Nvm. The oil dip stick keeps shooting up about 2 centimeters after some hard WOT runs. So I'll be adding a custom oil catch can with a bigger breather to vent the crank case winds.

There is no PCV valves, it's a simple free air breather setup.

Careful, it could mean that you have excessive blowby.

My thoughts too but all chambers are holding up good pressure when tested.

I'm puzzled.

Dipstick? Do you mean the cap? I thought the dip stick if you have one isn't to be left in, it's only for measuring on these cars.

How did you test this? The only source of pressure in the crankcase is from cylinder leakage.

I am sure you know this going by the amazing quick replacement of your piston the other month,,,,,top man............

A leak down test will tell you if the exhaust and inlet valves and stems seals are ok.

A compression test wil tell you the condition of the compression top rings.

But something I am struggling to confirm is how do you test the condition of the lower oil rings?

Benz_Addict you obviously pulled the plugs and found no oil on them so this does sound strange, do our cars have a PCV valve as such, I thought the EGR valve were for the supercharger and have no connection to the crank case?

good luck
