My Compression Test Results

Since I am running a bigger pulley and have other mods I figured I would do a compression test on my car. After doing this I think this is a must for all the heavily modded cars. Exotic-Metal55 was kind enough to lend me his compression testing set.
Here are the results. WIS say the compression number should be within 22 psi of each cylinder which I think is too much.
It is a pretty straight forward procedure, just remember to disconnect the CPS which doing this test so this will prevent the engine from starting.
Cylinder 1 161
Cylinder 2 155
Cylinder 3 160
Cylinder 4 160
Cylinder 5 161
Cylinder 6 160
Cylinder 7 161
Cylinder 8 160

If anyone has done this please can you share your results. Does anyone know what the compression results should be on a 55k motor?

What are you using to do the test? Are you filling the cylinder with air or turning motor over

Agreed! If you test your compression with 10 different gauges, you will get 10 different set of results the key is consistency from one cylinder to another. Shardul, all your compression results are in a 6psi range low to high so excellent numbers!

Just curious, what are the cylinder order or location? By that I mean, what cylinders are on the passenger and driver side and in what order if I am standing in front of the car.

Those are higher than the mighty Alan monster. His were 150ish across the board.

Gotta be some of the highest I have seen Shar.

I don't have one cylinder over 150 I think.

My rings must have setup horrible.

Engine was slightly hot. I did not pour oil into the cylinder before doing the tests.

Did you disconnect fuel pump relay also like WIS is telling us? If not, are you sure you were not getting fuel into cyl.while cranking and because of that results are so high?
Btw.my brand new engine which i have just broken in shows 140 PSI on all 8 cyl. with mercedes OEM tester and WIS testing procedure on cold engine and 500 meters altitude with 0W-30 Castrol SLX Professional eng.oil. Engine is silly strong with that numbers.

Best thing about your sled Shardul, is that is alomst looks stock rolling down the road. Love your stock CLS rims and subtle upgrades. Only thing giving it away is the rumble of that exhaust

Any chance you could take a clip of your rpm gauge when you got WOT in 1st, 2nd

the high torque numbers are due to the 190mm.
once i get me rear tank install i am sure i will pick up some hp up top that I have lost due to high IATs
Keep in mind i still have a stock TB
