Got Star scanned for codes after my cel came on
So I have 3 codes that came up when scanned with star today, anyone have info on these,
P0202C-008 Coolant thermostat(P0128) Stored.
P2075-002 Purge control system has slight leak(minor leak): Leak in hose connection or shutoff valve of activated charcoal canister(P0456) Current and Stored.
P2089 Fault is stored in component N15/3 (ETC [EGS] control unit) (P0730) Stored.
Is the first just replace thermostat?

Do you have a warranty or an indy? if so i would take it in, show them the codes and see if they wont tell you what needs to be replaced without charging you an arm and a leg to do it?... That would be my first step, but who knows

The minor leak is usually a gas cap that isn't holding a good seal on many cars. Common problem that a replacement gas cap may fix. As cheap as it is I'd try that first. The entire fuel system is under a vacuum, if the O-Ring on the fuel cap has cracks or just can't hold a good seal it will set codes that sound like what what you guys are getting.
You'll need a fresh one sooner or later as they go out after a half dozen years and will cause you to fail emissions inspections. Preventative maintenance in my eyes if anything.

p0202c- If your thermostat is possibly stuck slightly open, coolant temp will rise slower than expected causing poor cold start emmisions, setting the ctel. Prob needs a new thermostat.
p2075- Lots of things can cause this code. best bet is to take to to dealer to have it diagnosed. Otherwise, your just throwing parts at it. BTW, the gas cap is just about never the cause on a 211.
P2089- This means that there is a fault code stored in your tranmission control unit.
