2004 E55 AMG
Chip tuning the E55, help.

Hey guys,

we just picked up a 2004 E55 AMG this month. I must say the car is a real beast.

I don't really have a strong knowledge when it comes to tuning mercedes cars. We had an Audi A6 and A4 in the past, also most of my experience is with the 2JZ in my Supra.

Anyways from searching I wasn't able to find much so that's why I came for help here. Are there any popular engine chips for these cars to push the HP to 500+ while bettering the fuel consumption?

Just trying to see what can be done and if there is anything I will try and find some local shops that do this stuff.

thanks in advance

Try a search on Eurocharged, OE tuning, Kleemann and Renntech. You should find some good stuff on ECU tuning and other mods to get you some extra ponies. MPG? maybe, but you won't be able to keep your foot out of it so I doubt it.

+1 search man there's an array of different tuners out there that can provide what you're looking for and tons of thread on the topics as well. contact oeturning, eurcharged, ttm, etc...list goes on. not saying they're all the same, but you have a number of different options.

Do any tuners offer a larger pulley (180mm+) & tune combo? Seems like most pulleys are purchased separately and then a tune is added. Most of the packages I've seen (like the EVOsport that I run) use smaller pulleys. Comments?

Well I did search but couldn't find much, with company names this will be a lot easier, so thanks for the recommendations.
