AMG Performance Drive
Are there any AMG Private Lounge members planning on attending the AMG Performance Drive in Monticello, NY on May 14-15th? 
I hope to see you there. I was told that AMG PL members will not be given any special treatment at the track. There will be four AMGs there, for the drive event C63, E63, SL63 and the SLS AMG. The SLS AMG is on display, and will not be driven on the track. Each person, will be given one lap per vehicle
But regardless, I'm just glad that I was invited to attend.

Don't ask me how I got invited, because I don't really know. All I can say is that I do know a few folks at AMG, in Affalterbach. They know how passionate I am about the brand as we correspond allot. I did have a conversation with Patrick a few months ago, he's in charge of all the AMG Performance Centers worldwide, about having an event in DC. I coordinate AMG events at a local AMG Performance Center here in the DC area, for our local AMG club. Maybe the general manager made some calls, or is was Patrick's way of rewarding me. Who knows, all I know is that I'm going. And that is good enough for me. The performance drive from my understanding, was for rewarding a limited number of owners to come and drive various AMGs. They also opened it up to 50 AMG PL members. You can still register on the PL website, hopefully there are still slots open.

I am also a PL member but no invite
If we show up and PL member will we be able to drive an AMG on the track. If not will they let us put our own AMGs on the track?

After talking with the coordinators from AMG, the feedback has been great. They said that alot of drivers had a great time at the event. From the initial experience, it makes driver's want to join the AMG Performance Tour, where you receive professional instruction for a fee. I plan on having a good time, if only for the day.

we got invited from the pl as well, and the event in chi is actually at a pretty nice track here..

I saw the posting on the PL and signed up right away. As was stated right above, ours is at a private track in the Chicago area this weekend.
