Exclamation Front Airmatic Slammed...

After I parked my car at home and have engine turned off, everything was just fine and I went to the back seat to get my bag out. Suddenly, I heard something blowed up very loud and was checking what the hell was it, I walked around and saw nothing special, while going back to my car I saw the front slammed, then I said shxt...just got both rear air springs changed few months ago.

Also, I decided to pull the gas tank down and check why there is always gas smell after full tank. Found that there are cracks on the tank, I just cannot believe it will happen to a top model car, so I decided to change the tank as well for safety reason. Guys, please also check you brake discs if you have time, mine got cracks from the holes, see attached pic.

And now, I am bagging someone that can do me a favor. I checked that the fuel tank has upgraded a few times since then, and I found a part number #211 470 25 02, cus I am ordering it myself, and I dont have access to EPC here, so can anyone please help me to confirm if I have the correct part number? Thanks so much!!!

Wow, that sucks. Are you fixing it at ZF or somewhere else. Maintaining these cars are definitely not cheap! For the rotors, have you thought about the Evosport 2 piece upgrade?

Not ZF of course, they are charging about 4 times more just the parts alone than local parts shop, no one except with warranty will be back and fix there man, thats why I am bagging for the correct part number for the gas tank

The parts shop wouldn't release the part number if i am not ordering with them(that fine but if i order with them needs 4-6 weeks shipping), so I am ordering from other country myself which i need to make sure it is the correct part.

Take it easy on the uber fast braking and you'll see less of the heat cracks in the rotors.

Two good sites for pricing don’t list the actual fuel tank model number. How do these prices compare to yours?

Drilled rotors are for show. Will almost always crack like that, under hard use.

If ordering from local part shop, it would be about double the price from the state, but the main point is it will take 4-6 weeks to be delivered...

If your car is a non-USA version of the W211 E55 (no Option Code 494), the correct part number is 211 470 24 02. If your car is a USA spec car (Option Code 494), then the correct part number is 211 470 25 02.

Sorry, to hear about your your issue. Your right, these things shouldn't be happening to a 100K car. It's supposed to be "The Best or Nothing" Well, the best isn't good enough.

Sorry to bring this up again, but just want to ask a little question here...

I have all 4 corners with new suspensions and air springs, and it is a little lowered every morning at the front, and it raise up quickly about 1 finger everytime I started the car, so am I getting leaks in the system? where should I check first? Thanks Bros.
