RIMS ON '07 E63
You'll save money by going through them directly, as they've got free shipping through their website at $579 for a set. That'll save you $20.
They were extremely helpful on the phone too, so give them a call.
I'm doing exactly what you're doing, swapping my nearly-brand-new OEM sized tires over to this new set of wheels. a 265 rear will fit just fine on a 9.5" wheel, though I will switch to 275 or 285 [if my drop will allow it] on my next set of rears. Chawkins has a set of the matte black ones on his car, with an aggressive drop and lots of meat. I went with gunmetal because I keep an apartment in the med center and I'll be confused for a rival drug dealer if I threw matte black wheels on my black E55 with 5% tint.
Andrew - as for why we're putting $600 wheels on our AMGs - because they're a step up in quality from the OEM wheels, even if they're cast by a 13 year old in Taiwan. Why did you put $1500 set of wheels on your AMG? Why not HRE's or ADV1s? Because that's what you wanted on your car.
Why would I pay a premium for inherently flawed OEM wheels, when I could buy 2-3 sets of new replicas for the price of used curbed OEM wheels?
As long as they don't crack twice in the next 5 months, they will prove to be better quality than my stockers. Just search my past threads if you don't believe me.I'll weigh them both tomorrow too to see how heavy they are.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

The ride quality is 1000x better than the stockers so far for whatever reason. Fronts are 27.2 lbs. 7lbs heavier than my RPF1s. But on this car, I don't need lightweight wheels, that's kinda dough gets saved for the race car (as you've seen on fb).

Pic from before I put on cf centercaps- the wheels shipped with OEM silver centercaps which would have looked terrible.
I went with the cheap $500 wheels for a few reasons...they're matte black...a star pattern (I'm not a fan of the intricate weave like a lot of other folks are)...and...they're $500.
I'm not 100% positive I'm in on the whole matte black look on my car yet but we'll see. $500 is an easy way to test the waters...
Hopefully I'll be able to slap them on Monday night.
I'm interested to see what center caps they ship with - agree that silver will look silly...but I've got plenty of matte black paint lying around from Harley/grill projects. :-)

really makes me and everyone else here the more entertained
